L125 - Antique Brass Corbin Trunk Lock & Key

$64.95

An antique solid brass trunk lock with the original steel barrel key! A very high quality lock with a fancy base. The lock is marked "Corbin Cabinet Lock Co. New Britain Conn.". The top piece is also markedd with the patent date of June 1887. See pictures for details. The standard size, 6" tall and 2" wide at the base (edge to edge) and the top receiver piece is 3 1/4" wide and 2 1/2" tall. The lock is solid cast brass (not plated) and in very good condition, perfect for antique trunks or chests! The top piece is also brass except for the steel lifter that's attached. Well made and heavy weight! This style lock was used on high quality trunks of the 1880's to early 1900's. It can replace locks made by Eagle, Yale, or Star Lock.

Old authentic American made locks look much better on antique trunks than those lightweight reproduction locks made in foreign countries, plus they will increase the value of your trunk. This lock requires a hole in the lid about 1 1/2" diameter for the top receiver piece.

Note: you won't see many items marked sold on my website because I quickly replace those with more trunk hardware items or locks. Please check back often for updates.
