L123 - Antique Brass Eagle Lock & Key

An antique solid brass trunk lock with one original brass key! A very high quality and very heavy duty lock. The lock is marked "Eagle Lock Co. Terryville, Conn. USA" on the bottom front. The Eagle key is also marked with the key code on the lock. Complete with the center bolt and washers. See pictures for details.

Size: 6 1/8 " tall and 2 1/8" wide at the base (edge to edge) and the top receiver piece is 3 1/2" wide and 2 3/8" tall. The lock is solid cast brass (not plated) and in very good condition, perfect for antique trunks or chests! Well made, very thick, and heavy weight, 1 lb. 5 oz.! This style lock was used on high quality trunks of the 1880's to early 1900's. This lock requires a hole in the lid about 1 1/2" diameter for the top receiver piece. Has the old patina now but can be highly polished if desired.

Old authentic American made locks look much better on antique trunks than those cheap lightweight reproduction locks made in foreign countries, plus they will increase the value of your trunk.
