T122 - Small Checkered Doll Trunk

Size: 10" wide, 4 3/4" tall, 6" deep.

A unique lithographed metal toy or doll trunk with a nice multicolored checkered pattern. The light colored blocks look like pearl or opals in that they have several shades of white, pink, and reddish colors. It's hard to show all the colors in the pictures. This flat top doll trunk is in very good original condition and you can see it has a very unusual multicolored finish and brass plated hardware. The lock is marked Eagle Lock Company, Terryville, Conn. USA (no key). This is from the early 1900's and is made of wood with the metal covering and brass plated metal trim. There is minimal age wear and it's in overall nice condition. (see detailed pictures) The leather handles are original. The interior has the original paper covering which has birds and flowers in the pattern. There a wonderful old lithograph of a young girl and her puppy. Great for display with your special dolls; to hold jewelry, cards, etc., or just display with your collection! This comes with a small country style angel doll. A real collectible doll trunk with a nice vintage look!
