L116 - Brass Eagle Trunk Lock & Key

This old Eagle trunk lock is in excellent original condition. New old stock, never used. It is heavy brass plated steel with a solid brass center hasp piece. The lock measures 5 3/4" tall and 3 1/4" wide when locked together. Marked "Eagle Lock Co. Terryville, Conn. Made in USA". It is very heavy duty and works well with the original barrel key. The trunk must have a round hole cutout in the bottom part, about 1 3/4" wide, for this style lock. Eagle Lock company was in business until about 1954 and made many types of trunk locks for about 100 years. These locks were used on trunks and footlocker trunks of the early to mid 1900's. Hard to find in excellent condition. Great or antique or new trunks!
