$72.00

A rare antique solid brass trunk lock with one original barrel key! A high-quality lock with a fancy three-hole base. Marked "Corbin Cabinet Lock Co. New Britain Conn.". This lock was specially hand tooled on the surface to give it a unique swirled appearance! See the pictures for details of the design, condition, and style. The lock itself is 6 1/4 " tall, 2 1/8" wide at the top and 2" wide at the base (edge to edge). The top receiver piece is 3 1/4" wide and 2 5/8" tall. The lock is solid cast brass and the receiver is also brass with a steel lifter attached. Perfect for nice antique trunks! This is well made and very heavy weight! This style lock was used on high-quality trunks of the 1880's to early 1900's. Hard to find in complete condition! A beautiful antique trunk lock!

Old authentic American made locks look much better on antique trunks than the lightweight reproduction locks made in foreign countries, plus they will increase the value of your trunk. It's easy to spot a cheap reproduction lock on an antique trunk.
